Honest takes on degree apprenticeships, university and personal finance for young people in the UK. Watch, connect or work with me 1-on-1.
About me
Hi, I'm Daniel. My mission is to provide honest, practical answers to help 18–25 year olds in the UK make confident decisions about their career and their money.
I spent four years on a degree apprenticeship at a major investment bank instead of going to university, so I dig into the questions no one answers properly: Is a degree apprenticeship better than going to university? How do you actually manage money in your twenties? What does building wealth look like when you're just starting out?

What people say
My call with Dan was really useful. He gave me the honest reality of degree apprenticeships instead of just telling me what I wanted to hear. It was exactly what I needed.
Phenomenal discussion with Dan. Hearing first-hand what the day-to-day is really like, how career progression compares, and what actions I should take that I hadn't even thought of. No sugar-coating, no generic advice, just straight, practical answers from someone who's lived the experience of an investment banking degree apprenticeship. Truly, thank you so much.
Really beneficial conversation. Dan broke down how student finance actually works and helped me weigh up going to university against a degree apprenticeship. I came away with a much clearer picture and real confidence that studying law at university is the right decision for me.
